Cotton Pickin' Cowboy
(2012)(The third book in the West Texas Sweethearts--Colorado City, 1891 series)
A Story by Sharon Gillenwater
Christian Historical Romance - NOVELLA
West Texas, October, 1891
Practically on the shelf...
At the ripe old age of twenty-six, Sarah Dawson knows she can't be picky when it comes to marriage. After all, she's rather plain and boring. Even her betrothed thinks her best attribute is her cooking.
A lonely cowboy...
Rancher Austin Kendrick thinks every man Sarah ever met needs spectacles. To him, she's beautiful, kind, and loving - and the answer to his prayers.
But Sarah has been raised to honor her commitments above all else, even if it means marrying a man she doesn't love. Can Austin persuade her to follow her heart instead?
Author's note: Years ago, when I originally wrote Yours Truly, For Love of Anna, and Cotton Pickin' Cowboy, I wanted to set all of them in my hometown of Colorado City, Texas. Unfortunately, they were published by different companies, so I was unable to do that. When I received the rights back to For Love of Anna, I decided to rewrite it, set it in Colorado City, add some characters from Yours Truly, and incorporate more of a faith element in the story. I then changed the town in Cotton Pickin' Cowboy so it ties in with the other two books. That also meant moving Yours Truly and Cotton Pickin' Cowboy from the Homespun Collection to the new West Texas Sweethearts series. If you've already read Yours Truly, it hasn't changed, and Cotton Pickin' Cowboy has only changed slightly.
Genre: Inspirational
