Strange things are afoot in the small mining town of Rocky River, Colorado during the spring of 1890. Millicent Drovers' invitation to a picnic has fallen into the wrong hands. Marshall Bond, the local saloon owner, receives a mysterious letter and believes he has a secret admirer. Edmund Baxter, a filthy miner who recently struck it rich, has decided to become respectable, and a whole host of women have marriage on their minds.
