While on assignment in Consortium space, the Black Star Navy uncovered evidence of X'thari involvement in the rising tide of ships going missing, instead of it merely being pirates. Meanwhile, the Coldana System went dark, with no news coming in or out, save for Nomad communications. Because of those Nomads, however, it was discovered and relayed to the rest of Known Space that, for the first time since the last X'thari War, a Harvester has been spotted in settled space, and was headed for Coldana. Consortium fleets threw themselves at the Harvester and the massive fleet that surrounded it, hoping to cripple the massive creature. Two whole fleets, destroyed to the last ship, but they managed to hurt the Harvester, though no one knows how badly. Without cover from the fleet, the people of Coldana were left to the mercy of the insectile X'thari.
No one knows the fate of the people left behind on Coldana, but everyone assumes the worst. Now, treaties are being put into effect, as the various signatory nations send ships to band together and fight against a threat that could spell doom for all life in the galaxy, and the Black Star Navy stands with them. But will that be enough?
