The Seal of Light was successfully unbound. However, in the process, the two vessels that would be Heroes were fused together. To prevent their souls from being damaged, the Lich Queen called out to the goddess who granted her the knowledge of soul magics in the first place, Murena, Goddess of Death and the Hunt. With the Goddess's aid, the Seraphim were able to safely split apart, but that power came with a price.
Now, in addition to preparing to take on the Seal of Fire, and whatever guardian might be waiting for her there, the Lich Queen must also build a temple to Murena in Egypt, where the Seal of Death lies. And that is only the start of the troubles she has to deal with, as there are other forces in play, and they are starting to take her measure.
But first, she must deal with Fire.
