Puck in the Oven
(2022)(The fifth book in the Maine Maulers Hockey series)
A novel by Zoe Beth Geller
When I'm at the Mauler's annual gala and my hot date from last night says she was busy tonight...
I approach my teammates with relief. My stand-in date, and ex, Becka heads to the bar to grab us drinks.
“Hey, guys.” We shake hands. “Becka is a pain tonight. What a disaster,” I comment.
A couple stands next to us, a man with salt and pepper hair and a tall woman at his side. They turn around, slowly, and elegantly. My jaw drops in shock and then horror. No wonder those eyes look so familiar, it’s Annie.
What? What is she doing here? She said she was going out with her dad tonight.
“I don’t think you’ve met my daughter, Kal,” Coach says, “this is Annie.”
Becka has impeccable timing as she returns with a drink in her hand, slipping the other through my arm possessively.
Annie is giving me a death stare. If looks could kill, I’d be a dead man twice over.
This is an all-the-feels with coach’s daughter, surprise baby tropes with a twist, or two, and lots of pranks to keep you on your toes. HEA guarantee.
This continues the Mauler's hockey season and the interconnected books make this a series that is best if read in order.
Genre: Romance
