Alex Hay recommends

10 Marchfield Square (2025)
Nicola Whyte
"I just loved 10 Marchfield Square. Clever, funny, ingeniously constructed - and what a cast! The mystery is gripping and beautifully unguessable, the characters are bursting with life, and the square itself is drawn with such subtlety and love. Brilliant!"

The Woman in the Wallpaper (2025)
Lora Jones
"Sumptuous, mysterious and so beautifully textured. Each scene is crafted with the same care as the wallpaper vignettes. What a debut!"

Circus of Mirrors (2024)
Julie Owen Moylan
"Immersive, tender, simmering with secrets - and such a richly-drawn portrait of Berlin from 1926 to 1961."
