The Celestial Helix

For permission to perform one of the plays found in The Celestial Helix you are required to purchase the Production Pack. In addition to including 4 scripts at a reduced rate for the director and major characters, you receive permission to make photocopies of the script for minor characters and your technical crew and a Performance Licensing Agreement. The Performance Licensing Agreement is used to pay the Royalty fee(s) and is due two weeks prior to performance(s). The Production Pack price does not include the Royalty payment. Playwright Anita Higman's first book of one-act plays, POKEWEED AND MRS. GASP, prepared the way for these three scripts. The topics are contemporary and cover issues such as husband and wife relationships, alcoholism, and lonliness. Probably not for the inexperienced actor or director--each play is a study in characterization and atmosphere.
