Vera's Venture

World War II is over, but new problems confront Vera. Her wartime job ends, and her husband Geoff is invalided out of the army and needs work. With two young children they must leave their home and move into a rundown cottage in Norfolk. Geoff has taken an engineering job with the Fen River Board. And whilst the river banks desperately need strengthening, floods are threatening the flat Fenlands, and Vera must protect her family.
