Quanah Parker and his Kwahadis were the most feared Comanches in Texas. They were the only tribe who refused to parlay with the white chiefs in Washington. Now they had grievances: the buffao on which they depended were being slaughtered by white raiders. Vengeance was what they planned, but the military was unprepared.
