(2000)(The second book in the Medical Romance, Emergency series)
(The sixth book in the Emergency! series)
A novel by Bobby Hutchinson
Medical Romance--With A Missing Baby!
How can a newborn just disappear from a guarded maternity ward?
Dr. Joanne Duncan delivers a baby girl in the E.R. of Saint Joe's Hospital in Vancouver, B.C. Within hours, the baby is abducted, and Joanne and security guard Spencer Mathews are under scrutiny from the administrators.
How could they let this happen?
The only thing they can do is unite in a desperate attempt to find the little one.
FULL RECOVERY--it's what Joanne and Spence both need, recovery of the baby girl, but also of their hearts, of the freedom to live their lives in the present without ghosts from the past. The baby girl has become a symbol of all the losses in their lives. Can they find together the love they both long for?
INTERVIEW WITH THE WRITER:
How did you come to write this particular medical romance?
I was living in a small city in B.C. when a newborn went missing from the hospital. The entire community was horrified. The police and the public searched frantically. The hospital staff were in shock and felt guilty.
The baby was recovered safely, leading to new and more stringent safety precautions. It was the kernel of a book that had to be written.
Where do your characters come from?
They're a mixture of bits of people I know plus pure imagination. Any writer will tell you that certain characters have a habit of taking control of their own story.
I love romance with missing babies involved. I hope you do too!
The other books in the Emergency Series are:
Drastic Measures
Double Jeopardy
Picking Clover
Patient Care
The Baby Doctor
Are You My Daddy?
Genre: Romance
