A Shard of Ice

(2024)
(The third book in the Lost Kings series)
A novel by

One snowflake changed everything.
Now, I can’t trust anyone or anything ever again, least of all myself.

I thought I was a great judge of character, turns out I’m not. Not even close!

I watch in awe as the delicate ice crystal dances through the air before landing on his face, where it melts in an instant. Snow in the desert. Who could have conceived such a thing?
Before the shimmering drop can even run down his jaw, he changes before my eyes, and everything I knew to be true changes with him.
Taylor became my best friend when I was captured three long years ago. Now, I find out that he isn’t my friend at all but rather my sworn enemy. A fae! He claims he didn’t know. That he was just as much in the dark as I was. That a spell had been cast over him to make him forget who he was.
I don’t believe him.
I don’t think I’ll trust anything he has to say again.
We escape the salt mines and if we are to stay out of the clutches of our captors, we will need to work together as a team.
Me, work with a fae? Laughable. And yet, here we are.
As soon as I am able, I will leave. I never want to see him again.
I hate him! Loathe might be too tame a word.
I am also suddenly drawn to him in a way that is just plain wrong. I’m attracted to my once-best friend, now very much my enemy. As hard as I try, I can’t resist the twisted pull.
I would leave right now if I could, but I can’t. My very life depends on it.

For lovers of paranormal & fantasy romance, this is a series filled with magic, adventure, and delicious tension. Each book will follow a new couple, but there will be major crossovers. Note that there are scenes meant for mature audiences only.
