The Wave is based on material uncovered by the author while working for CBC Publis Affairs Television in Vancouver and is the result of three years of intensive investigation into the questions of dam safety, radioactive wasets, and the various regulatory agencies in the U.S. and Canada responsibile for both. The author lives in Ottawa with his wife Maria and their son Noah. They spend as much time as possible travelling both in North America and abroad.
