Caleb is a little off, mostly due to the hallucinations and nightmares he’d seen all his life.
Of course, he’d found out a month ago now that those things were real, and he was a seer. He even believed it now, though he’d always be strange. Still, it was a good life, being accepted despite his oddness, and he was training hard to get in shape for that dangerous life that unfolded before him. With the exception of those horrors needing to be real for it to be reality, he quite liked his new life. There was also the small matter of a traitor trying to kill him to be dealt with. He trusted his team, but not anyone else, not really. There’d be other challenges for him too, personal as well as life-threatening. If that wasn’t enough, some nutjob was about to perpetrate a horror that made everything else he’d seen in his visions feel tame by comparison. He just might survive though, with a little luck. He had a team now after all, to help with that.
