In a world devastated by war, extreme weather, and the appearance of a variety of man-eating mutants the cities are the worst. A small team ventured into the city in hopes of helping a lone colony of survivors living on the rooftop of an old office building.
They failed.
With the rooftop lost the few survivors and what is left of their would-be rescuers are forced to take shelter in the massive underground bunker run by a former government scientist know as Specs. Even though the civilization ended over a decade ago Specs and his team are still conducting experiments and creating biological weapons.
Specs wants their help as a former colleague, Dr. Vedder, as developed a new breed of mutant, known as the Apex Predator, that Specs fears will spread death and destruction beyond just ruins of the city.
While the rooftop survivors are forced to seek shelter with an enemy the team from the domes that came to rescue them finds themselves facing the Apex Predator themselves as they are enlisting in helping the mysterious Dr. Vedder who believes it is Specs who is the real threat to humanity.
