White Stones is an award winning one-act play for a racially diverse cast. The play takes place during the apartheid era in South Africa. Joseph and Miriam, proud Zulus, maintain a rest camp for white tourists. The boundaries of the are marked d by white stones and only white people are allowed to enter the stone circle. When two American tourists visit the camp, the play begins to explore questions of privilege, poverty and courage and an old and injured lion gives Joseph to reclaim his birthright as a proud warrior. 8 characters 1 set
