Cappie Rourke's summer job at Storybook Park gets off to a rocky start when she meets John Yung. Although both are Korean-born, Cappie was adopted as an infant and raised in the United States. John is the son of recent immigrants and he thinks Cappie's just a silly American girl.

As they work together, however, Cappie finds herself attracted to John. But handsome Bryce Gillette, the park's Prince Charming, wants her to be his steady girl. Which boy will make Cappie's dreams of a fairy-tale romance come true?
