MEET THE DETECTIVE
Detective Inspector HoneyLaird was born Honoria Potterton-Phipps, a.k.a. Honeypot. Even after she met her husband, DI Sandy Laird, the nickname stuck though Honey was considered more suitable for a police officer of some seniority. The name is apt: her hair is the colour of dark heather honey, and her good looks attract men like flies. But Honey is also tough, unsentimental, and an excellent detective. She trained with the Metropolitan Police, then joined the Lothian and Borders Constabulary when she married Sandy. Born and raised on her fathers large estate in Perthshire, a return to Edinburgh was almost a coming home.
