A novel of action and adventure in which Constable Kinkaid of the R.C.M.P. investigates a murder in the Yukon. Hendryx was a prolific writer of adventure and western pulp fiction whose most popular character was Black John Smith of Halfaday Creek, a giant, good-natured outlaw residing in the Yukon, not far from the Alaska line at the of the 1898 Gold Rush.
