Joanna had been let down in love, and so has Simon Rivers - yet until the night he asks her to marry him, she has never thought of him as anything but her boss, an autocratic but efficient consultant at St. Paul's Hospital. Besides, what would happen if Simon ever found out that she had fallen in love again - with him, of all people?
