Kathy Herman is an award-winning poet and best-selling novelist who has also contributed articles to numerous publications, including Bookstore Journal. Her poetry won the World of Poetry's Silver Poet Award in 1987 and 1988.
A staff member of the Christian Booksellers Association in Colorado Springs for five years, Herman later worked at Better Books Christian Center in Tyler, Texas, specializing in children's products and conducting related seminars in the U.S. and Canada. She has been involved in developing a local public school character-building curriculum, has been a preliminary judge for the ECPA's Gold Medallion Book Awards, and most recently worked as an independent consultant to the CBA market. Kathy's upcoming projects include a fifth and final installment in the Baxter series, entitled A Fine Line, and a stand alone book, Poor Mrs. Rigby. She also has plans for a new series taking place in the town of Seaport, with one of the characters from A Fine Line. She and her husband, Paul, have three grown children and four grandchildren and live in Tyler. Herman's hobbies include world travel, ornithology, and deep-sea fishing.
