Dr. June Kato travels to the Big Island of Hawaii to assist in delicate surgery on a beloved island kahuna. As soon as she gets there, she discovers the conditions are a lot more difficult than what she had been told. Uncooperative surgeons, lava flowing uncontrolled from an erupting volcano, and a patient that refuses to leave the hospital for a safer location give June every reason to just walk away.
