There were never butterflies, just fire.
A story that stands elegantly balanced on the singular moment when anything is possible.

Bestselling novelist Georgie Phillips is stuck in a rut of revenge and knows that an orange jumpsuit will become a wardrobe staple if she doesnt find something else to occupy her time. An old boyfriend is wreaking havoc and trying to get his grabby hands on her book money, and it’s taking everything she has not to make fiction a reality. Thankfully, her childhood friend is back in town and ready to provide the perfect distraction.
Aiden Hawker is home from a dangerous ten-year stint overseas with the Marines and knows resisting his childhood friend won’t last much longer. Is he healthy enough to take on the greatest challenge of his life, or will the memories he brought home get in the way? Broken men break women, and he won’t let that happen with Georgie.

Can these two navigate a future together, or will an old threat write their destiny before they can? Come see what happens when two fiery souls make the most of their second chance. A small-town romance that will melt in your mouth and go straight to your heart.

Hart Notes: I replanted a seed from an earlier story and allowed a new romance to grow because, like people, books can’t flourish if planted in the wrong spot. I think Haven is the perfect place for this one to bloom.
