UNCERTAINTY OF REASON – Book 11
Give me a child until he is seven and I will show you the man. – Aristotle
A murderer is loose on the streets of Harrogate. His initial purpose is to inflict damage, not to cause death. Repercussions of a serious road accident and an abusive childhood haunt the perpetrator. The balance of his mind is disturbed and he experiences moments of intense, irrational anger which override his sanity. The colour red seems to trigger his psychosis.
The case is a disturbing one for DCI Bennett and his team. Welcome to Harrogate.
***** Review for the first three books in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed books 1-3 and look forward to the next. Intelligent, compassionate heroes. Well researched detail. Suitably psychotic malfeasance. Red herrings aplenty. More twists and turns than spaghetti junction. A delight to read even though a thief of time and sleep!

Malcolm Hollingdrake has once again given us a page turner of a book. From the first lines in the prologue the reader is pulled into a fascinating story told with intelligence and compassion. He has the ability to put the reader right there in every scene. One of the joys of his books is that he gives us characters that are real, ones that the reader can relate to but characters that are also flawed. He had me guessing to the very end. A must read for all crime enthusiasts.
