Shakespeare and the paranormal. When Ned Lambert, a boy player in The King's Men, becomes a man, no longer able to play female roles, he attracts the attention of a mysterious woman in green. This is Faelinn, who comes from the other side of an invisible Boundary. Ned tells William Shakespeare of his experience and the poet reveals he has had dealings with the other world before and is now haunted by a spirit he believes comes from the other side of the Boundary. Faelinn wants beautiful Ned to come and live with her and, beset by fears of the plague, which wiped out his family and uncertainty about his future, Ned is tempted.
