Letters To Lithopolis

This rare bit of "O. Henryana" originally published almost three quartersof a century ago by New York publisher Doubleday, is being brought backinto print thanks to the Friends of the O. Henry Museum in DowntownAustin, Texas. The letters to a fictitious Lithopolis are directed to a member ofthe noted publishing family of Wagnalls, as in Funk and Wagnalls. The Texas connection is that O. Henry-born on September 11, 1862 nearGreensboro, North Carolina-lived in Austin for 16 years.
