Astride his gelding, Deputy Ben Houston made a solitary silhouette riding the stark plains of Kansas. Ahead of him in the vast country rode a gang of murderous outlaws who had slashed their savage way from Montana to Wyoming to Colorado, and now they were shooting up Kansas. Where would the killers strike next? Soon they would have to make a slip-up, and Ben had to be there, anticipating their every move, in order to stop them...
