The handsome head rancher might be hard to be around, but nothing is going to get in the way of me filing a fantastic story at the local newspaper.

Sure, Coyote attacks on Whistler Ranch are not what I was imagining for my first assignment, but it’s a start, and I’m going to do a good job of it.

Because I’ve got dreams and they’re way bigger than a ranch in Montana.

And if I want to go all they way as a reporter, I’ll need to handle way more than a hot, disgruntled rancher.

After all, we only need to spend one night on coyote patrol together. What could possibly happen?

I agreed to let her on my ranch as a favor. When I saw her, I regretted it.

I don’t have time for a pretty town girl who is dressed for a magazine photo shoot, not a visit to a working ranch. 

Sure, she’s beautiful, with that blond hair and those big blue eyes, but I have more important things to do than have her follow me around.

But after a night on coyote patrol, I can’t help but change my mind.

Scarlett’s not just a pretty face. She’s smart, she funny and I’ll be damned if I can keep my hands off her.

Just one night together couldn’t hurt, right?

But the next day, she’s still on my mind. And the day after that. And I can’t think of much else but that one night we spent together.

And now I need to find a way to make her mine forever.
