A Spell for the Changing

Bureau of Thaumaturgy Special Adept Agent William Slade has enough to deal with as he works with his therapist to reconcile his merging with the spirits of two immortal mages, Merlin Ambrosius and his father, Gorlois, Duke of Cornwall. But as if that were not enough, the Director of the Bureau has assigned him to investigate Senator Jordan Jimson, whose Spell Control Initiative threatens to place all magic use throughout the country under the control of his Congressional committee. Citizens Against Thaumaturgic Supremacy, better known as CATS, is a radical anti-thaumaturgy organization that has been staging violent demonstrations against magic and also contributes heavily to the senator's campaign. Is Senator Jimson secretly running CATS. or is CATS running the senator? And can Slade and his team complete their investigation before the senator finds out about it and uses his power and influence to shut them down?
