Trice Hickman has always been an avid reader, so it was no wonder that she became a published author with the release of her debut novel, Unexpected Interruptions.
A self-proclaimed "Southern Girl", Trice was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. Her diverse professional career has included management positions in both corporate and non-profit organizations. In 2004, she completed her first manuscript and spent the next two and a half years trying to get it published. But every agent and every publisher she submitted her work to turned her down. She was determined not to let them have the final say about the fate of her work. After careful planning and research she quit her job, formed her own publishing company, Platinum Books, and released Unexpected Interruptions in November 2007.
