The border bunch came and went like ghosts. They were as elusive as any night-birds, killing and burning, rustling cattle and pillaging a town. The denizens of the Sandela Strip on the edge of the border and the badlands finally demanded short shrift for owlhoot pistoleros. So it was up to Sheriff Codine and Deputy Legwell to bring law and order into the territory.
