He built a billion dollar company from scratch—and she just stole it from him.

Liz Davenport wants one thing, and that one thing is NOT to be the sidekick. Ever obedient and helpful, even if it's to her own detriment, Liz has helped one friend fall in love with a man Liz used to dream about, and now she is helping a frenemy plan the perfect baby shower.

She's desperate for her own happily ever after. Liz wants the over the top engagement, the fairytale wedding, and the tall, devilishly handsome man on her arm (and in her scrapbook), and Wes fits the bill.

The only problem? She just helped her boss steal Wes's billion dollar company. Yeah, that happened. Now instead of just the curvy, bubbly sidekick, Liz is the evil sidekick.

Liz feels bad about hurting Wes. He's a good man under that rough exterior. He's worked hard his entire life—building a billion dollar tech company from scratch, surviving his alcoholic father, and taking care of his mother and sister. Now that Wes has solidified his billions, he's expressing interest in Liz. Liz wants him too, except that, you know, she just orchestrated the business move of the century and took control of his company.

Ever the gentleman, Wes seems very forgiving and gracious, maybe even a little too forgiving. There's a Hamlet-esque plot in the works, and Liz is at the center. Revenge is best served cold, but unfortunately for Wes, Liz is making him hot all over. What happens when Wes falls into a trap of his own making and starts to fall for Liz?

The Scion is book 3 in the Holbrook Cousins Saga, but can be read as a standalone novel.  This 85,000 word steamy romance novel has no cliffhangers but does have a very happily ever after.
