The Kilvar ascendancy has taken place, though perhaps not in the way the aliens intended. They have roused an ancient vessel from dormancy and charged it with the life energy of a hundred trillion souls.
That vessel is the Endurus. Its death aura spans galaxies and its single goal is the extinction of life. This is a fight from which the human-Daklan alliance cannot run and one which they seemingly cannot win.
Fortunately, the alliance now controls the mighty warship Ancidium – the potential of which has yet to be explored. However, the Ancidium’s life batteries are drained and many of its weapons are offline.
Captain William Flint is given command of the legendary and experimental Gorgadar and tasked with finding a way to recharge the Ancidium’s batteries. His mission sends him in pursuit of the remaining Kilvar lords.
