The “luxury” palazzo is more shabby than chic; the walls are crumbling, there are holes in the ceiling, and the electrical appliances are a health hazard. And to top it all, she has to work for her mineral-infused facials by providing early morning yoga classes to the other retreat members.
But despite the lack of branded toiletries and fluffy white robes, Palazzo Avanti - and its handsome occupant, Leonardo Brookes - starts to weave its magic through Rachel’s frozen veins and delivers a much-needed infusion of calm and tranquillity.
