Marie Jakober


Canada (b.1941)

Marie Jakober grew up in a log cabin in northern Alberta, Canada. Her home schooling, by correspondence, and a flair for storytelling brought her international recognition at age thirteen with the publication of her poem The Fairy Queen. Ms. Jakober graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa, and has toured, lectured and served on numerous panels, including the 1988 international panel of History and Mythology in the Modern World.
