Afraid of having his rundown hotel taken away from him by its American leaseholder, Plunkett contrives to improve business by advertising the hotel as being haunted, a ruse that fails until a pack of real ghosts appear and terrify the guests. Neil Jordan is the author of short stories, novels and screenplays. He wrote the screenplay of "Mona Lisa" and the screenplay of "Angel", his first film.
