I wrote Memories of Murder so long ago that to prepare it for current readers I had to update both language and technology, and change CRT monitors to viewscreens, and tape cassettes to dongles. VCR was a thing, and somehow I thought that in the 2080's it would still be a thing.
An editor suggested magazine publication as a three-part serial. To set that up I provided two breakpoint synopses. Out of whimsy I've left them in place. You might find them helpful.
It's a challenge to write a story that conforms to the rules of two genres; mystery and science fiction. I've taken on that challenge. You may find that my characters are more brightly colored than in many of my stories. For the sake of these characters I've rescued and updated Memories of Murder.
Genre: Science Fiction
