'Oh, there is one more thing: if you do find out that this Tito is not all he's supposed to be, and that he's playing some sort of double game, we want you to kill him.'

Summer, 1943.

Fresh from the fall of Pantelleria, Lieutenant Callum Douglas of the Special Air Service hopes to rejoin the Regiment in preparation for the invasion of southern Europe.

Instead Douglas' team is ordered to Yugoslavia, where eight German and Italian divisions are waging a bloody guerrilla war against the Partisans.

It is also where British Intelligence has recently lost contact with its liaison teams and their etnik allies.

His mission: to establish both contact with Tito, and the true state of affairs.

Inserted by submarine into Montenegro, as he scrambles over rivers and mountains Douglas learns that the situation on the ground is far worse than any of them could have imagined.

Accompanied by a pair of shadowy SOE officers and the bloodthirsty Mila, Douglas is caught in the middle of a game of cat-and-mouse where nobody is who they appear to be.

Partisan! is a classic World War II tale of adventure, daring, courage and betrayal in the face of insurmountable odds.
