A novel by

In 1943, in a secret lab in Sicily, a group within the SS named the Ahnenerbe have discovered the ancient secrets behind lycanthropy. Gruppenführer Karl Weitz and a Romani sorceress known as the Ochre Witch are about to convert an entire Waffen SS infantry division into werewolves. Once transformed, these unstoppable killing machines will turn the tide of war back in Germany’s favor.

American Major Ray Hawkins commands the clandestine Office of Supernatural Directives, a mix of military and civilian personnel tasked with stopping Weitz and the witch. The team includes a female WASP pilot, an enlisted man with a passion for language and puzzles, a mysterious American ex-pat from the French Foreign Legion, and a young Romani woman who has had to embrace the mystic Gypsy teachings she’d always despised.

They must parachute into Sicily before the upcoming Allied invasion and take out that lab. To defeat the Ahnenerbe, they will have to overcome SS soldiers as well as supernatural spells, which will take a combination of conventional warfare and unconventional witchcraft. The stakes could not be higher. If they fail, the Allies will be crushed by an army of wolves in the mountains.
