His Heart, Her Loyalty 2
(2017)(The second book in the His Heart Her Loyalty series)
A novel by Saja Jay
April 27th Siona and Safi are back!!!!
As I walked into my living room from grabbing something to drink the front door was suddenly kicked open. It seemed like Deja-vu as I watched four armed men in ski masks heading in my direction. Throwing my beverage down on the floor I took off running as fast as I possibly could up the steps. I wasn't sure who these niggas were or what the hell was going on, the only thing I knew was that dying today and without a fight wasn't an option.
When I made it to the last step one of the men grabbed me around my ankle from behind and began to tug at my foot. Grabbing onto the banister as tight as possible I turned around looking him directly in the eyes before kicking him repeatedly in the face with my Timb boots. The black ski mask kept me from seeing who he was but to be honest I didn't even care. I continued to kick whoever he was repeatedly in his face and I didn't stop until he let me go to cover his nose that was now overflowing with blood. I used that opportunity to get up from the steps and run as fast as I could.
After finally making it inside of Killa's room I slammed the door behind me. Looking around desperately while I tried to catch whatever little breath that I could, I searched for something to put behind the door. I jumped out of fear when I felt someone trying to kick in the room door. In that second I did something that I haven't done in a long time. I prayed to my mother and father asking them to keep me safe and get me out of this situation. As soon as the last thud hit the door my body went flying forward onto the floor. Scurrying to the other side of the room I drew my knees to my chest prepared to do whatever in order to survive. It felt like time started to move in slow motion as I watched one of the men slowly walk over to me. I could tell that it was the same man that I had kicked repeatedly from the blood that now stained his shirt.
As I looked into his pupils. I could sense that I knew this person that was standing in front of me pointing a gun at me. He stood towering over me for a couple seconds not saying a word before taking his hand and removing the ski mask from his face. The second I realized who it was my heart ripped in half.
"Safi is that you!" I asked in disbelief.
"Nah you must have me confused baby. My name is Ghost." He claimed preparing to squeeze the trigger.
