Talos Cord was the second man from UN Field Reconnaissance to go to the East African republic of Moyalla. His predecessor, who had been investigating arms-smuggling, had been killed in a plane crash which looked like sabotage. But had the plane been sabotaged because another of the passengers was the son of the virtual ruler of the Lake Calu district? Even when Talos Cord found the truth, it was a gamble whether he could do much about it.
