Luna and Beckett's Story: The Complete Trilogy
(2024)(A book in the Luna's Story series)
An omnibus of novels by Diana Knightley
The complete trilogy, bundled together into one.
Book 1: Leveling. The oceans cover everything, the apocalypse is behind them. Before them is just water, leveling. And in the middle they find each other.
On a desolate, military-run Outpost, Beckett has volunteered to wait for groups of nomadic paddleboarders, to order them to paddle east to the settlements, or else. His job is noble, but also lonely, and hes worried, because the water keeps rising, and the building hes living on could crumble into the sea at any moment.
Then Luna bumps her paddleboard up to the glass windows of his outpost and disrupts everything. Shes alone, seeking shelter and food, and seems open, hopeful, and happy to be alive. And soon Beckett has something and someone to live for.
But maybe everything about her is not as it seems. Because Luna is traveling under a fake name, hiding something deep.
Because a nomadic paddleboarder without a family is a disaster. And Luna can't tell him about it, because some words are too painful to speak out loud.
Can Beckett see to the depths of her mystery before its too late?
Book 2: Under. The world is just one giant tire fire of awful and Beckett has to do what seems impossible. Keep Luna safe...
But there are terrible storms, oppressive governments, and endless war, standing in his way.
Beckett and Luna are headed to shore.
They have a plan to live in his house, together, on a mountain. The trouble is, they arent together now.
Luna is alone, paddling across the unrelenting ocean, meeting an unknown future with only her basic gear: a paddleboard, food and water, a tent.
Their communication is by radio, but thats spotty, especially when the storms are coming
Luna's survival depends on Beckett finding her again, and when they touch land, they might be in more danger than ever before.
Book 3: Deep. War sucks. Actually everything about this world sucks now, every deep drowning bit of it.. Beckett just has to figure out how to survive and keep Luna safe.
Beckett is done with his military service, but there's no transport to his mountain. He walks west, but the road is long and dangerous. The kind of slog that could break a man.
Luna is living in his home. Becoming a part of his family, hoping he'll survive and come home.
But if he does make it home, he'll find out she's been hiding something. A big secret that could take Beckett far past his breaking point.
And they can probably weather anything.
But while they level with each other, the world is leveling too.
