When you're a superintendent of a steel mill - like Jarleth Blystone - and someone is leaving libellous messages about the owner in hard-to-reach places around the mill, you've got to put a squelch on it - no matter where the trail leads. But in a mill full of swarthy linegangers from around the world there are suspects aplenty. Luckily, Jarleth's brother DeKoven, a mystery writer, is on hand to sort through them.
