Albania (1936 - 2024)

Ismail Kadare was a world-renowned Albanian writer. In 1992, he was awarded the Prix mondial Cino Del Duca; in 2005, he won the inaugural Booker International Prize. He divided his time between Albania and France and was a Nobel Prize in Literature candidate
