A Baby for Valentine's Day
(2022)(A book in the Castle Falls Christmas Magic series)
A Novella by Jamie Knight
I'm done with Valentine's Day. But is it done with me?
I was dumped last Valentine’s Day, so this year I’m headed to my hometown of Castle Falls, Connecticut to definitely not celebrate it with my sister, when a snowstorm causes my car to skid into a snowbank.
Now I’m stuck on the mountain but at least I manage to walk to a nearby house… or should I say mansion?
Its owner, Lucien, is a gorgeous but grumpy recluse who seems to hate Valentine’s Day even more than I do and doesn’t appreciate uninvited guests. Suffice it to say that we really don’t get along at first.
But something about the “love” part of our love/hate chemistry seems to warm his heart and he offers me shelter in his huge house… and under his covers. Once I find out he’s a single father in a custody battle with his bitter ex, his bad attitude about this holiday starts to make sense.
We’ve both sworn off love forever, and we swear this is just a temporary hook-up. But our fling is so hot it seems to melt the snow faster than I was expecting, and I'm surprised to find I’m sad to leave the older, handsome, complicated man who saved me after my accident.
Speaking of accidents, I’m even more surprised a month later to find out I’m pregnant! I can’t tell Lucien since this wasn’t supposed to be anything serious and he’s already got enough on his plate fighting for his son.
But it turns out he can't get me off his mind either and he wants to claim what's his. He just doesn't know about what else is his... yet.
Is this a Valentine's Day disaster I knew I should have steered clear of?
Or are we in as deep as the snow that trapped us together in the first place?
A Baby for Valentine's Day is a secret baby steamy romance in the Castle Falls Love Story for the Holidays series, which can be read and understand alone but are best enjoyed altogether.
Jamie Knight always promises to bring you a happily ever after filled with plenty of heat. And never any cheating or cliffhangers!
