Many years have passed, and Draken has heard no word from his friend, the pragmatic monk, Jace. Draken fights half-heartedly in exhibition matches, simply going through the motions to entertain.

Enslaved as a performer in the gladiator arena, Draken hears little news of the outside world. When drastic changes force him to question his life purpose, he realizes he must forge his own destiny, or die trying.
