Theo just needs to get through four days at this conference. No problem, right?
Theo Warren didn't want to come to Chicago in the first place, but he made a promise to his agent. And his mother. And ugh. All he wants to do is go back to his overstuffed house in Oregon, the odd group of non-human found family he's gathered, and his new life. First, he seems to have to deal with his old one.
His agent is pushy and manipulative, an aggressive flirt gets very persistent, and he fields questions about a book he doesn't want to write and more travel he refuses to do, and an argument with Avery over texts, and Theo is reaching the end of his rope. At least he also made a new friend- and surprisingly met Avery's older brother who is working security. Throw in some greasy mobster wannabes threatening his new friend and it turns out that Chicago has more trouble in store for Theo than he expected from a weekend in a hotel full of historians.
Something is going on here, and Theo needs to figure it out so he can make it to his flight home on Monday. It's just four days. How hard can it be?
Genre: Fantasy
