I have always loved poetry. Where that love came from, I don’t know. I have no recollection of any of the adults around me when I was a child reading poetry. My grandfather and my mother were readers, but it was Zane Grey and mysteries and romance, respectively.
If I had to choose a favorite poet, I suspect it would be Robert Frost, with Alfred, Lord Tennyson, a close second. There are others, too numerous to list. Suffice it to say I enjoy many different styles. The poor collection that makes up this work is not in any danger of overtaking those with true talent. I simply amused myself and my writing Muse instructed me to share.
