L. M. Kerr grew up on books, gaining a heartfelt admiration for reading at a young age. As a young reader, he would often find himself wanting certain concepts or ideas adapted into stories, eager to read new adventures and gaze into strange worlds.
Many of the ideas or powers he wished to see in stories simply didn't exist at the time. So he decided to create his own, taking the many ideas and dreams he had, and crafting them into epic, world-spanning fantasy stories.
