Gr 4-6-- When Sarah's father and Trina's mother decide to get married, the girls are determined to be the perfect blended family. Then they discover that living together on a daily basis is not like being at camp, as their interests and personalities are very different. However, the inevitable big blow-up causes them to realize that just being a real family is enough. The plot is reflective of stepfamily life in the '90s. Sarah and Trina are typical upper middle-class adolescents whose lives revolve around school, camp, and friends. Short paragraphs keep the story moving. While it is fluff, there are legions of fans of this series. They will not be disappointed in this harmless addition. --Pamela K. Bomboy, Chesterfield County Public Schools, VA
