The Dance of Death
"Murder Most British"
Set in 1936, amidst a glittering Charity Ball held in the newly opened plush Regency-By-The-Sea Hotel, a beautiful couple perform a mesmerizing exhibition dance. Later that night, gunshots are heard and Sybil Thornton the rising star of the West End is found critically wounded. The astute and resourceful Pauline Frobisher, her enigmatic Aunt Angela, and the formidable Lady B are soon thrown into an investigation like none other. Together with Josh Farland and Inspector Grosvenor, they delve into a world of hidden motives and dark secrets, where each suspect harbors a past more shadowy than the next.

This is Episode 3 in "Murder Most British", which is a series of short whodunits set in 1930s England, that are as charming as they are cunning. Even though these are set in an era close to a hundred years ago, the delicate craftsmanship of each story is breath-taking. The unexpected plot twists are suspense filled and the events around the characters rise to a crescendo until they reach an unexpected end. In short, these mysteries will leave you guessing till the end, with just a dash of British humor to keep things positively smashing!

5.0 out of 5 stars A highly intelligent and fun game of Clue, April 16, 2015 By TFLReader
I just love a good mystery and author PB Kolleri has put together a great mystery series here with her "Rachel Markham Mystery Series". I love British characters and stories, and particularly ones that are fast-paced and keep me guessing until the end. This was one of those for sure. If you are an Agatha Christie fan or just love a good mystery, don't pass up this engaging series.
